Hi! My name is Raggedy Joan. (RJ)
Come in and meet my friend Ms. Patricia. She is really nice.
We are going to show you what it’s like to get an allergy treatment.
Our office has lots of fun books and toys.
You can play here while you wait for your treatment.
This is Dr. Joan. She is going to help you feel better.
First we test to see what things you are allergic to. Sometimes we use a special computer called the Naeter. It makes funny noises. You hold something in your hand. It does not hurt.
Other times we do muscle testing.
You hold a tiny vial while we check Mommy’s or Daddy’s arm.
The treatment comes next. You will love this part! Dr. Joan tickles your back with a special tool called “Arthro”. “Arthro” feels good. You can help Dr. Joan count while she tickles your back.
Next you take a rest on the mat.
You can rest, listen to music, play, or read stories while you wait for the timer.
When the timer goes off you are done!
Dr. Joan checks one more time and it’s time to go home.
