What is an allergy?

An allergy is a condition of unusual sensitivity to one or more substances, which may be harmless to the majority of other individuals. The brain views this substance as a threat to the body’s well being. The response to this “negative” substance can cause a cascade of events that result in anything from a sneeze to a seizure.
How do we get allergies?
In a toxic environment, allergies are increasingly common. Virtually everyone is allergic to something. This was not the case thirty years ago. Our food, work, and living environments have been so radically altered that, by the time we are adults, our body responds to the environment as toxic, poisonous, or hostile. Allergies cause real illness.
